Alejandro Zaera Polo founded the London based FOA, foreign office architects in the year 1992 together with Farshid Moussavi. The office is well known for their Yokohama International Terminal competition entry and realization. He studied architecture in Madrid, Spain and later got his Master in Architecture, MArchII degree at Graduate School of Design, Harvard University, USA. He also worked 1991-1992 at Rotterdam based OMA. He is currently dean of the Berlage Institute.
